This motor is used for moving the printhead transverse to the running direction of the media.
Aligned with the axle of the motor a gear is moving the printhead with a belt. This component should be replaced after 1500 operating hours. The motor, binned in a robust steel case is connected via cable to the pc board called "servo board". This board recieves the commands from the main board and transmits them to the servomotor.
