EASY Primer is an easy-to-apply primer designed to improve general adhesion. It can be used to prepare various porous and non-porous surfaces for subsequent bonding with SK films or for wallpapering. The primer prevents adhesives from penetrating porous surfaces. Self-adhesive materials can be peeled off and removed more easily after application without leaving any residue. The primer can be applied using a roller, brush, sponge or cloth. Spray application is also possible provided the necessary precautions are taken (suitable protective clothing). Depending on the absorbency of the substrate, several coats of primer may be necessary to achieve a sufficiently sealed surface. After each application, the EASY Primer should be allowed 15–20 minutes to dry or form a skin before a further coat of EASY Primer is applied or subsequent processing (adhesive bonding, pasting, etc.) takes place. The application temperature for EASY Primer should not be below 10°C. At low temperatures, the drying time may be prolonged. To generally speed up drying and improve film formation, the use of a hot-air gun (at medium heat setting) has proven effective.
